Job Summary:The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the school facility. This role supports a healthy learning environment for students, staff, and visitors by ensuring classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas are properly cleaned and maintained.Key Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areasSweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors as neededEmpty trash and recycling containers dailyClean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as desks, door handles, railings, and switchesRestock supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paperReport maintenance issues or safety hazards to school administrationFollow cleaning schedules, safety guidelines, and school policiesUse cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properlyAssist with setup and breakdown for school events when needed
